Mira Chen

I was born and raised in Taiwan. I graduated with a BA in Visual Communication Design, and worked primarily as a graphic designer in the industry. In 2005 I moved to the beautiful state of Oregon. The people here are so friendly and make me feel like home. I love to work with children. I have taught as a second grade teacher at the Tzu Chi Chinese School in Portland since 2015. I like to combine arts and crafts with teaching. Children can learn Chinese in a variety of ways and experience the beautiful Chinese and Taiwanese culture. In 2021 I joined as the folk culture seed teacher of the Overseas Community Affairs Council, learn different folk cultures and serve as a lecturer and local teacher.

In free time, I like to hike, exercise, paint, sing, enjoy food and play ukulele with my family.
