German & Chinese Classes

GIS offers German and Chinese Teen & Middle School classes so students can continue their language education.

German Teen Class

Spring Term: 1/21/25 - 5/6/25; No class: 3/25/25; Tuesdays from 4:45-6 p.m. with extension course from 4:15-4:45 p.m.

For high schoolers age 14-18 who love to argue or who would like to learn to speak better German! Jugend debattiert provides a fun way to explore the vocabulary and step-by-step practices that give students the confidence to talk about their ideas and opinions.

This class is strongly recommended for anyone planning to take the Deutsches Sprachdiplom II (advanced German exam) in the fall, but also open to anyone who likes teamwork and competition. Check out this video about the program.

Chinese Teen Class

Annual Term: Sept 10, 2024- June 10, 2025 (36 weeks)

No class: 11/26, 11/28, 12/24, 12/26, 12/31, 1/2, 3/25, 3/27

Class will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-5:15 p.m.
