Zach Martin

I was born in Boston, Massachusetts and attended New York University where I studied journalism and Middle Eastern Studies. I spent my summers growing up at Mass Audubon nature camps, where I was later a counselor. While at NYU I worked at The Door, a New York City youth development organization, and participated in the New York State Mentoring Program. After college I took time to travel and spent time in Germany, France, Korea, Bolivia, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Italy, Slovenia, Austria and many others! I then moved to the Pacific Northwest, getting my MFA in Creative Writing and settling down in Portland. I do more editing than writing these days, and in my spare time I love to read, play golf, watch documentaries, and of course travel. I live in Beaverton with my partner, two cats, and a little dog who demands all our attention.
