GIS Fun Run

Annual Fun Run:

A Fun Run is a type of school fundraiser in which participants raise money by collecting donations or pledges for walking, jogging, or running a predetermined distance or course. In German this is called a Spendenlauf. In Mandarin this is similar to a _“公益挑战赛跑”_. At the Tiny Feet Trot, students age two through kindergartener run, walk, or skip through the course!

The Tiny Feet Trot is Wednesday, May 22, 2024. The Fun Run for 1st through 6th graders is Friday, May 24, 2024.

This year, our goal is to raise $50,000, equivalent to $150 in pledges per student. Your support is crucial in making this fundraising effort a success! Here are five fantastic ways you can get involved:

  • Make a Pledge: Support your child's run by making a pledge. Every contribution, big or small, helps us reach our goal of $50,000, and 100% family participation in our school community’s fundraising effort.
  • Company Sponsorship: If you work for a company that supports community initiatives, inquire about potential sponsorship opportunities. Your employer's support could make a significant impact on the success of the event.
  • Volunteer: We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to assist with various aspects of the event, from setup to cheering on our runners. Your time and energy are invaluable!
  • Run with Your Student: Lace up your sneakers and hit the track with students! It's a fantastic way to spend quality time together while promoting health and fitness.
  • Cheer On Your Student: Not a runner? No problem! Join us on the sidelines to cheer on your child and their classmates. Your encouragement makes a world of difference.

For questions about the event, please reach out to Natalie at natalie.hebert@gspdx.org.
